What is your teacher to student ratio?

We have 1 teacher and 1 assistant for every 10 children.  Our teachers are CPR and First Aid Certified and have 15 hours of continuing education credits each year.  Our teachers have an excellent knowledge of the Spanish language, which for most of them it’s their mother tongue and they have studied the language for many years.

Do you have a Kindergarten program?

We are working on developing the program for our children that are ready to enter Kindergarten, we do however provide children the knowledge and social kills to be ready to enter a Kindergarten program.

How will the children learn Spanish?

Our teachers will start by introducing both languages to the children for a few days until the children are comfortable with the new environment, teachers and language.  We make it an easy transition for them into the Spanish immersion system.

How can I reinforce what my children are learning if I don’t speak Spanish?

The teachers prepare a sheet in which the parents can help reinforce the words learned at school during the week.  For any questions or concerns on any material please direct them with your teacher, she will be more than happy to help.  Our vocabulary words are also online for your review.

What is your payment method?

We accept personal checks.  Returned checks will have a fee of $25.00.  No cash transactions will be accepted.  All payments are due on the first day of the month with a late fee of $10.00 assessed after the 5th of the month.

Do you provide meals?

We provide a mid-morning snack and parents provide a cold lunch for the children.  Bilingual Beginnings Spanish Preschool is not responsible for the nutritional value of the snack or the lunch that the children consume while at our school.  Please inform us of any food allergy your child might have so we can accommodate accordingly.   When providing food or snacks for a celebration, please ensure that the items are in the original packages and are store bought, no homemade items can be accepted due to state health and safety regulations.  A healthy nutritious and balanced breakfast is recommended before the children arrive in school; this will provide the necessary energy to get through the day before our mid-morning snack which consists of crackers and water.  For snack and lunch ideas see our section on Lunch Ideas.  Keep in mind that these are only ideas and not suggestions made by Bilingual Beginnings Spanish Preschool.
